About My Research:
Hands-on Medical Education for Students

Hypothesis

The Impact of Hands-On Health-Science Kits on Clinical Literacy and Physiological Interpretation among Grade 5-6 Students: A Pre-test/Post-test Evaluative Study

We are testing whether the Intervention (Hands-on training with the Health-Science Kit) produces a significant increase in Diagnostic Literacy compared to the baseline knowledge.

Outcomes

Literacy: A statistically significant increase in Diagnostic Literacy and Basic Health-Science Competence among Grade 5-6 students.

Engagement: Measurably increases student engagement and sustained interest in health-related fields.

Skills: Students gain practical competence in Tool Identification, Numerical Data Interpretation, and determining appropriate Action Intent based on health measurements.

Curriculum: Provides a portable, teacher-led training module for hands-on instruction.

Career Pipeline: Sparks student interest in healthcare careers by exposing them to real medical tools.

Foundational Knowledge: Provides essential, practical preparation for future medical studies and health literacy.

Competence: Builds confidence and hands-on skills using devices like the Stethoscope, Pulse Oximeter, and Digital Thermometer.

Validation: Aims for scientific validation (p < 0.05) via Paired T-Test, with results to be disseminated through educational journals and publications.
